Nukunu FC suffered a 0-2 home defeat to Golden Kick Sporting Club in Matchday 2 of the UMB Division One League.

The Eagles came into the fixture looking to build momentum after the opening weekend, but were undone by a clinical Golden Kick side.

Nukunu FC started brightly, controlling possession in the early exchanges and creating half chances. Despite the pressure, the visitors remained resolute at the back and struck first against the run of play to take a 1-0 lead into the break.

In the second half, Nukunu pushed higher in search of an equalizer, with Assistant Coach Simon Kojo Antwi making tactical changes to inject more pace into the attack. The home side continued to knock on the door but struggled to find the cutting edge in the final third.

A free kick was capitalized on late in the game to double their advantage and seal all three points.

It was not the result we wanted, but the team will take the lessons from this defeat and refocus. Attention now turns to Matchday 3 as we look to bounce back stronger.

We thank our incredible fans who showed up in numbers to support the team. Your energy means everything.
