Permanent ground

Targeted for end of 2026/27

Following our historic qualification to the Division One League, the Management of Nukunu Football Club has undertaken extensive efforts to secure a suitable and approved venue for our home fixtures.

In the interest of transparency, we wish to provide our supporters, partners, and all stakeholders with a formal update on the current situation.

1. DZOSEC Park, Dzodze

Management's initial priority was to develop and upgrade DZOSEC Park in Dzodze as our permanent home ground. Following a comprehensive technical assessment by the relevant experts, it was determined that the scope of works required to meet the prescribed Club Licensing standards could not be practically completed within the available timeframe.

Consequently, Management was compelled to take the difficult decision to discontinue DZOSEC Park as our immediate home venue option.

2. Akatsi College of Education Park, Akatsi

The Club subsequently identified the Akatsi College of Education Park as a temporary alternative. We formally invited the Club Licensing Department to inspect the facility and provide guidance on the requisite improvements for approval.

Management engaged extensively with the authorities of Akatsi College of Education, the Municipal Assembly, and all relevant stakeholders. We are grateful for the tremendous support and cooperation received from all parties, and significant efforts were invested to improve the playing surface and ancillary facilities to the required standard.

The final inspection has now been concluded. Regrettably, the pitch has not been granted approval for use at this time.

Management acknowledges that this development presents a serious challenge. As a newly promoted Division One League club, the availability of a certified home venue is fundamental to our participation and competitiveness in the league. We view the prevailing uncertainty with utmost seriousness.

Notwithstanding this setback, Management remains resolute and undeterred.

We wish to assure all stakeholders that our team is working around the clock, engaging all relevant authorities, and exploring every viable alternative to secure an approved home venue for our fixtures.

We respectfully appeal to our supporters, partners, and the entire Nukunu FC family to remain steadfast and united behind the Club during this critical period. This is a time for collective resolve and unwavering support for the Wonder Boys.

Until further notice, the Club will use the Ho Sports Stadium for its home fixtures.

Looking beyond the immediate challenge, Management wishes to assure our supporters that plans are already far advanced towards securing and developing a permanent, purpose-built stadium for the Club, with the objective of completion by the end of the 2026/2027 football season. Our long-term vision remains clear: Nukunu Football Club must have a home worthy of its ambitions.

We have come too far to be deterred by this temporary setback. We remain focused, we remain committed, and we remain confident.

We thank you for your continued patience, support, and belief in the project.
